Ponycan USA Shares Details of Denki-Gai Collector’s Edition #1

-

A couple of days ago it was announced that Right Stuf has formed an exclusive distribution deal with Pony Canyon USA (Ponycan USA) for monthly releases starting April 10th 2015. One of the titles set for release beginning in April 2015 is Denki-Gai (Aka. Denkigai no Honya-san / デンキ街の本屋さん), which only concluded airing in Japan last month. Although a release date was listed, at the time there were no details on what would be included in the physical release or how much it would cost an anime fan to purchase.

The official website for Ponycan USA has been updated to highlight the contents of what will be the first of likely three collections for the anime. This Blu-ray, DVD and CD combo set will be a Collector’s Edition, which is listed with an SRP of $89.98 (Right Stuf price of $71.98). This collection includes the first four episodes in the series; featuring the original Japanese dub, English/Spanish subtitles and an approximate run-time of 100 Minutes.

Also included in the set is a Special Character Song CD titled “Kenki Songs1”, with tracks performed by Hiotan, Kameko, G-men and Umio. This is in addition to on-disc extras including a Textless Opening (Special O.A. Version), Textless Ending (Special O.A. Version) and a collection of TV Commercials.

In terms of bonus materials and packaging, the entire set comes with a “Mega Tall” size ‘Dodeka’ Disc Case featuring double-sided illustrations by Sin-Ei Animation. Also included is a deluxe 24-page booklet “Umanohone Magazine 1&2”, 2 collectable wall pin-up pictures, a double-sided poster and an exclusive “Ponycan USA” plastic slipcase.

Ponycan USA have also mentioned that they will be offering a special surprise gift to all customers who order by February 28th 2015. The only question is, at SRP $89.98 for four episodes, will the extra content be enough to keep fans from waiting for a cheaper standard release?

Pre-orders are not yet being taken by Right Stuf.
