Amona and Roni are getting more screen time. HIDIVE has announced I’m Dating a Dark Summoner Omake Shorts, a 12-episode bonus series based on its short-form anime I’m Dating a Dark Summoner, which premieres on 6 November 2026. It will stream exclusively on HIDIVE in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the US, Canada, the UK and Ireland.
The original series, which debuted in October, follows Amona, a demi-human girl, and Roni, a priest, and is adapted from the fantasy rom-com manga written and illustrated by Shaoh. The new spin-off takes a different approach, mixing chibi-style art with sketch comedy as the same cast take on new roles, including working at a cafe and an office and going back to school.
Rei Takano returns as Amona, with Yuki Nishiyama as Roni and Semmai Hodentei as Imp. Acali Arimiya directs and designs the characters, and co-writes the scripts with Araki Humisato. Animation is by Deregula, the animation studio of WWWave Corporation.
I’m Dating a Dark Summoner Omake Shorts is part of HIDIVE’s Fall 2026 simulcast season and will be available to all subscribers in supported regions.
