A little less than a month shy of their initial release date for the title, Australian anime publisher Siren Visual have confirmed through their official website that they have begun shipping out pre-orders for their (currently) Australian exclusive English release of Mononoke. This release which encompasses the entire 12-episode anime series comes at the companies usual single anime season length series price of $49.95.
In the Edo era of Japan, as cultural arts, modern science, and technology flourished, so too did the practice of mystical arts, as humanity faced the perils of the supernatural. In such an era, a mysterious medicine vender confronts the humans and monsters with his scared sword for salvation.
After a year, the creators from “Bakeneko” came back once again with a flamboyant CG texture in a classic Japanese painting style, to produce the new series “Mononoke (Monster)” with the medicine vender as the main character as in the previous series’ “Bakeneko”.
