Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo is an off-shoot of the upcoming Take That (In-Game) Snap article series, which looks at, celebrates and critiques how video game developers have implemented professional photography-like systems into their games, how the systems handle, just how accessible they are and, where applicable, how a modding community might be making these tools even better. With this Daily Photo spin-off series, I will be sharing individual photos from the games either covered or soon-to-be-covered in the series.
Following quite a number of Final Fantasy XIV screenshots being posted as part of the series, I wanted to shake things up by sharing a photo I took from Star Citizen. This photo was taken at Teasa Spaceport, which overlooks the city of Lorville – one of the original landing zones developed and released by Cloud Imperium Games as part of their Alpha testing. While most of the city is unexplorable by players, the level of scale and expansiveness portrayed in this otherwise dank, authoritarian locale gets me a little giddy.
