Developer à la mode games and publisher Akupara Games have officially released Sorry We’re Closed on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Originally launched for PC in November last year, the game now arrives on consoles with new features, including New Game+, Time Attack, difficulty modes, and gyro controls for Switch and PlayStation. A free trial is available on Xbox, and PlayStation Plus Premium members can access a Time Trial version. The game is priced at $24.99 USD.
Alongside the console release, a free content update is now available for PC players, adding the same new modes and gameplay refinements.

In addition to the digital launch, à la mode games and Akupara Games are collaborating with publisher Serenity Forge to release a premium physical edition of Sorry We’re Closed for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch later this year. Pre-orders are available for $44.99 USD and include a physical copy of the game, a holographic sticker sheet, a soundtrack download card, and a design booklet featuring character profiles, art, and development insights.
Sorry We’re Closed follows Michelle in her final days as she battles to break a curse placed on her by a powerful demon. Set in a supernatural version of London, the game blends classic survival horror mechanics with RPG-style dialogue interactions, multiple endings, and a unique mix of fixed-camera exploration and arcade-style first-person shooting. Players can collect items, manage resources, and use the Third Eye ability to reveal enemy weak points and charge up powerful shots.
New features in today’s update improve combat accessibility with rebalanced areas, better controller sensitivity, aim assist options, and motion-controlled aiming. The newly introduced New Game+ mode allows players to retain upgrades and collectibles while exploring alternate story paths, while Time Attack mode offers an opportunity to refine combat skills under time constraints.
