Transitioning one of their popular Party Pack games into a standalone release with more oomph to it, Jackbox Games has launched Trivia Murder Party 3 in Early Access on PC, bringing the trivia-based survival game back with online matchmaking, new minigames and a summer camp setting.
Available now on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $14.99 USD or local equivalent, the game supports up to eight players, with the option to play locally with friends or use online matchmaking to find other players. Solo players can also join games online.
This time around, the series takes players to Camp Mass Acres, where a murderous camp counsellor forces campers to answer trivia questions under threat of death. Players will face questions covering everything from everyday knowledge to more unusual subjects, including how much blood can fit inside the Stanley Cup and the bathrooms of Las Vegas casinos.
As with previous entries in the series, answering questions incorrectly can have fatal consequences, with players competing to survive the camp’s various challenges and escape. Death does not necessarily mean the end of a player’s involvement, however, with eliminated campers able to return and potentially leave their surviving competitors to an unfortunate fate.
The game also introduces cosmetic accessories that players can earn for their campers, including bucket hats, allowing them to customise their appearance as they compete in the game’s trivia challenges and minigames.
While Trivia Murder Party 3 is currently available exclusively on PC through Early Access, Jackbox Games has confirmed that the full 1.0 release is scheduled for 2027. The full release will expand the game’s availability to Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
