Co-Op Pirate Comedy Yo Ho Ho And A Rubber Duck Revealed At Endix Expo

Italian independent developer Red Hog Studio has revealed the co-op physics-based pirate comedy at the virtual Endix Expo this weekend. In the game, players and their crew customise an inflatable pirate ship and set sail in search of the legendary “G.O.T.Y. treasure“.

The game mixes land and sea exploration with parkour, crafting, a merchant upgrade loop and parry-based combat using balloon swords. Things are designed to go wrong often, whether that is sharks attacking the fragile ship, flatulence sending a crewmate flying or a mutinous crew member taking over the helm.

Each island is built around its own theme. Players might race each other in hamster balls, slide down an ice-cube slide or find their way through a maze at night with only torchlight to guide them. The game has a bright, stylised look with saturated skies, sculpted rock formations and inflatable props.

Francesco Sapio, Founder and CEO of Red Hog Studio, described the inspiration behind the game and how it reflects the studio’s own experience.

Built around physics-based gameplay, we encourage players to toggle between supporting…

Red Hog Studio is appearing at booth #1 on the first floor of the virtual Endix Expo. The team’s remaining session is on Sunday 8 November from 3pm to 5pm CET.
