Frozen District has released a new expansion for House Flipper 2. Titled the Sakura DLC, this new add-on is priced at $14.99 USD or local equivalent and is now available for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.
True to its title, the Sakura DLC shifts the game’s focus towards both traditional and modern Japanese architecture. The scope of the expansion grew during development, resulting in more content than was initially announced by the studio. Players will now have access to more than 600 Japan-themed items, which include traditional paper walls, Japandi style furniture, ceramics, paintings, and modern smart bathrooms.
The expansion also adds five new jobs to complete, ranging from a tearoom to an abandoned primary school. Additionally, players will find five characteristic Japanese houses to renovate and five new buyers seeking traditional Japanese architecture. The environment features three variants of a Japanese countryside setting with a springtime view of Mt. Fuji. Rounding out the paid DLC are new collectibles, three intricate wooden assemblies, and a set of new achievements.
Releasing simultaneously with the Sakura DLC is a free patch for all players known as the Buyers 2.0 Update. The core feature of this update is an overhaul of the in-game buyer system. During auctions, buyers will now provide direct feedback, including their likes, dislikes, and specific comments on the renovation work. The update introduces new buyers, refreshes the existing roster, and adds detailed buyer profiles alongside moodboards to help guide renovation choices.
Beyond the changes to the buyer system, the update includes several other additions to the base game. Story Mode now features empty plots for players to build upon. The patch also brings improvements to roof building, new quality of life features designed to help with motion sickness, and over 100 new items added to the in-game shop.
