BOKURA, the unique co-op adventure from Kodansha Games Creator’s Lab, has officially surpassed one million units sold worldwide. To commemorate this milestone, both BOKURA and its sabotage-driven sequel, BOKURA: planet, are on sale across multiple platforms, marking the game’s biggest discount event yet.
Originally launched in Early Access, BOKURA is a two-player puzzle experience for players globally, requiring communication and cooperation between partners. The game’s core premise revolves around two boys who awaken in a strange world, each seeing a drastically different environment – one a lush, animal-filled wilderness, the other a landscape overrun with technology. Success depends on players sharing their perspectives and coordinating strategies to navigate hazardous mountain paths, solve dimension-bending puzzles, and assist other traveling pairs they meet along the way.
As part of this milestone, the following discounts are on offer:
BOKURA on Steam: 70% off until Thursday, 14 August 2025
BOKURA on Nintendo Switch: 70% off until Monday, 18 August 2025
BOKURA: planet on Steam: 30% off until Thursday, 14 August 2025
Solo developer tokoronyori, also shared their gratitude:
I would like to thank everyone who played the game and spread the word about it – hitting 1 million sales was only possible because of you! Saying ‘one million copies sold’ seems simple, but when I think about how each of these one million people thought of someone they wanted to play with, it’s a wonderful feeling. I’m truly proud to have created a game that served as the starting point for that.
BOKURA is available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, with a PlayStation version set to arrive later this year. BOKURA: planet is available now on Steam.
