Gravity Interactive has officially launched the Closed Beta Test (CBT) for Ragnarok M: Classic Global, offering players worldwide the chance to revisit Rune Midgard in a version designed to be more accessible and fair than ever. The CBT opened on August 1 and runs until August 28, 2025, available on Android, iOS, and PC.
This marks the first time Ragnarok M: Classic is available globally, extending support to North America and Europe with lower latency and a renewed focus on classic MMORPG gameplay. Tester slots are limited, with iOS capped at 10,000 participants. While all progress will be wiped at the end of the test, players who make in-game purchases during CBT will receive Zeny rebates at launch with added bonuses.
More information on how to participate in the Closed Beta test can be found on the Ragnarok M: Classic Global website.
While it is all good saying this, and the proof is in the game post-launch, Gravity Interactive pitch that Ragnarok M: Classic Global aims to recapture the magic of classic Ragnarok Online with several player-friendly changes:
- No gacha systems or paid daily/weekly packs
- Guaranteed gear enhancement (100% success up to +15)
- Free monthly premium perks, including EXP/drop boosts and offline combat
- Six core classes with free job-switching after Tier 3
- Zeny-only economy: no exclusive top-ups, paid gachas, or pay-to-win mechanics—every item can be earned and traded through gameplay
