Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will launch on PC on 23 January 2025, with pre-orders now live on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PC edition is set to feature the full game originally released on the PlayStation 5, but also includes several platform-specific enhancements to improve performance and visual fidelity, including:
Lighting: Improved rendering of lighting for greater clarity and visual beauty in updated areas and cutscenes.
Framerate and Resolution: Support for NVIDIA DLSS enhances frame rates and upscales image quality, alongside support for variable refresh rate (VRR).
Textures: Configurable Level of Detail (LoD) for background models and MIP maps allows players to enhance polygon density and texture quality.
Controller and Input Support: DualSense controller compatibility replicates the PS5 controls, while keyboard and mouse support includes fully customizable inputs.
Steam Deck Compatibility: The Steam version is planned to be playable on Steam Deck.
