CD PROJEKT RED has announced new additions to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners universe, including a manga prequel titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS and a Blu-ray release of the original anime, set for 2025.
Manga Prequel: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS

The manga adaptation focuses on Rebecca and Pilar, sibling characters from the original anime. Set before their time with David Martinez’s crew, the story explores their chaotic rise as edgerunners in Night City. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they encounter the mysterious Safran.
The manga has debuted in the following languages and formats:
- Japanese: Online via KADOKAWA’s ALIVE+ platform.
- Polish: Studio JG.
- Italian, Spanish, German, French: Panini Group.
- Traditional Chinese: KADOKAWA Taiwan Corporation. (To debut 20 December)
- English: Paperback volumes published by Dark Horse.
Blu-ray Edition of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
The original anime, created in collaboration with Studio TRIGGER, will be released on Blu-ray in 2025. Previously available only on Netflix, the ten-episode series tells the standalone story of David Martinez, a young man navigating the dangers of Night City, where technology and body modification dominate.
The Blu-ray release will be available in Japan, USA, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand.
