This time next month, I imagined I would be sitting down on my PlayStation 4, making my way through the expansive worlds and universe which No Man’s Sky claims to offer. Unfortunately an announcement made by Sean Murray from developer Hello Games has confirmed recent rumours true – that No Man’s Sky has been delayed by a couple of months.

Claiming that “some key moments needed extra polish” to bring them up to their standards, Hello Games have opted to give themselves a few extra weeks to “deliver something special”. The space exploration game will now be available starting August 9th in North America, August 10th in Europe and August 12th in the United Kingdom. You can read the full statement made by Sean Murray via the PlayStation Blog.

While some may be disappointed that they will have to wait an extra month and a bit to dive into No Man’s Sky, let’s hope these extra weeks are put to good use.
