Latest Blade & Soul Update – Unchained – Delivers Warlock Class, Naryu Labyrinth and More

-

Serving as the second major update released for the online game since launching in early January, NCSoft have rolled out the “Unchained” update for Blade & Soul. This update delivers a number of new gameplay opportunities, including the addition of a new character class and dungeons to explore.

Have you been wanting to create a new character that is either a dominating Jin or a cute and adorable Lyn? This update provides access to the Warlock Class, a ranged class which is all about casting powerful spells and summoning a deadly thrall to turn the tide of battle, albeit suffering from significant casting/cooldown times and fragility. I have spent a bit of time raising a warlock for myself, and while not my favourite class, is still one of the more interesting ones to work with – albeit maybe not the most suitable for those newer to online games. For the next few weeks, NCSoft are offering a free Character Voucher via their Hongmoon Store, allowing even someone who hasn’t spent a single dollar on the game to unlock an additional character slot and perhaps create a Warlock.

This update also provides access to Mushin’s Tower – Floor 8 and the new Naryu Labyrinth dungeon, the latter offering both 4-player and 6-player modes. Naryu Labyrinth grants parties an opportunity to make their way through a randomised labyrinth, where no two playthroughs are set to be exactly alike. Both Mushin’s Tower and Naryu Labyrinth also comes with new achievements.

There are a number of other additions and amendments, which you can read more about in the official Unchained Patch Notes.

Supported by a Cash Shop, Blade & Soul is a free-to-play MMORPG currently being published in the Americas and PAL regions by NCSoft. For more information on this game, visit its official website. You can also read the game’s archives on The Otaku’s Study.
