There are only months to go until players will be able to explore a possible 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 unique planets, with it today being confirmed that the PlayStation 4 edition of No Man’s Sky will be available both physically and digitally starting June 22nd 2016. Pre-orders of the physical editions are now being taken, with both standard and limited edition sets on offer.

In No Man’s Sky, players journey from the farthest depths of space to answer the call of an irresistible mystery at the centre of the galaxy. In their vessel, players will plot their course through an expansive universe as they discover new planets and species, gather resources and make their make on mark on the galactic map for other cosmonauts to visit.

Developer Sean Murray from Hello Games has been working alongside Dave Gibbons (Co-Creator of Watchmen and Kingsman), James Swallow (Mass Effect, Star Wars) and famous sci-fi book cover artist Angus McKie to create a comic book based in the game’s universe. This artistic story shares some No Man’s Sky’s key moments and will be available in the No Man’s Sky Limited Edition Collection. The Limited Edition also includes a unique artwork of the Atlas, and a dynamic theme by Mr Div. While the standard edition set will cost gamers $99.95, the limited edition set is a little bit pricier at $114.95.
