Square Enix Bringing Two Final Fantasy Games to Steam for Holiday Season

-

If you are like myself, you will be spending at least a couple of days at the end of this year going through the huge backlog of titles that seem to have accumulated in your Steam library this year. Providing two additional games for your library, Square Enix have confirmed that two Final Fantasy games will be available on the Steam digital distribution service this month.

The first is Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, which follows the PC ports of both Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2. Detailing the final story of Lightning, players are tasked with saving the people of a now doomed world in 13 days. This port will feature graphic options intended for high-end PC’s, and shall come with almost all DLC from the original console version (Excluding the Final Fantasy VII Aerith Costume) including Japanese voice-overs, additional costumes, shields and weapons.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is available right now through Steam for $15.99 USD.

Bringing something a little bit older to Steam, Square Enix have also confirmed plans to bring Final Fantasy VI to the service starting December 16 2015. A dramatic tale of friendship and self-discovery, Final Fantasy VI recounts the epic journey of Terra Branford, a powerful woman with a mysterious past. Priced at $15.99 USD as well, this PC version will include support for Steam achievements and trading cards.
