Several months have now passed since ATLUS USA first released Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers in North America. Given that the Nintendo 3DS comes with complementary region locking (The added bonus very few I am sure actually wanted), those in PAL regions have been left without any access to the game. Fortunately the wait is almost over, with around a month to go until its official PAL region release!
Nippon Ichi Software America have confirmed that the game will launch across PAL regions next month on the 20th September 2013 to retail outlets, followed by a digital release via the Nintendo eShop from the 25th September 2013.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is an enhanced release of the 1997 Sega Saturn classic, and is set to come with a variety of gameplay features, enhancements and (of course) an English localization. Soul Hackers tells of a city held up as a beacon of humanity’s triumph of technology, but with an infernal secret. In this would-be utopia, a group of hackers takes on a centuries-old mystic society, and a battle for control over humanity’s fate is about to begin.
