For those who read my article on the announcement yesterday (HERE), the next game in Namco Bandai’s successful The Idolm@ster line of games will be three Playstation Portable releases under the title of “The Idolm@ster: Shiny Festa”. The three games are a bit different from previous installments in that instead of being solely “Idol Raising” games where you picked a group of three idols and helped develop their careers – this game is a rhythm game which relies more on button presses at correct times than dressing up your girls, doing publicity and taking part in concerts.
The game has four separate modes – “Live Style” which has appearances more similar to that of previous games, “Anime Style”which involves anime cutscenes, “Drama Style” which adds more eventful sequences to the music and “Band Style” where the girls go out and perform as a band rather than as an idol group.

A teaser website has since opened for the game, with the games first trailer planned for release on the23rd or 24th June.
