The Arts Centre Gold Coast Announce Inaugural Pop Up Pictures Event at Evendale Parklands

As we begin heading out of the colder winter months, The Arts Centre Gold Coast have decided to launch a new event known as ‘Pop Up Pictures’ at Evandale Parklands (Which is right next to their main building). They are inviting everyone to cosy into a bean bag and watch a flick under the twinkling stars and the Sufers Paradise skyline, with films to be screened on an outdoor blow-up cinema screen.

Tying in with their inaugural Glitter Festival, the first Pop Up Pictures event is set to take place on Sunday October 4th at approximately 6:30PM. With no cost to attend (Although it is BYO low chair seat, blanket and/or bean bag), they will be screening the Australian classic: The Adventures of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert. There will also be “delicious treats to satisfy your taste buds” available for purchase at the event as well.

This new outdoor experience situated at the stunning Evandale Lake has been a work in progress for some time. We’re thrilled to be bringing an outdoor cinema to residents of the Gold Coast with Pop Up Pictures. Movies truly are a wonderful experience for everyone to enjoy and we’re looking forward to a busy summer featuring a selection of films to satisfy a variety of tastes and demographics.
