The official “Weird Al” Yankovic YouTube channel has released Al’s Brain, an educational 3D attraction written and directed by Yankovic for the Orange County Fair in July 2009. After also appearing at Western Washington’s Puyallup Fair that September, the film became lost media. Now available in 2D, it features Billy West as Norm the owl, alongside cameos from Thomas Lennon, Patton Oswalt, Tim and Eric, Fabio, Paul McCartney and Yankovic’s mother-in-law, Sally. Is it something that was highly in demand or was expected to be released on a random day of a random week? No. Is it neat? Most certainly!
