Ahead of the new Japanese anime season commencing next month, US-based anime publisher Sentai has confirmed they have acquired the rights to Youjo Shacho, to be distributed under the localised title Cute Executive Officer. To begin airing at the start of next month, this is designed to be a short-format anime comedy series based on the original manga by Odeko Fujii. Hopefully it can help us start 2021 with a good laugh!
Sentai has acquired the rights to Cute Executive Officer for a sweeping range of countries including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, South Africa, Spain and Portugal. While initially available via streaming platforms, Sentai are aiming to offer a home video release at a later date.
Cute Executive Officer is produced by Project No.9 (Girls Beyond the Wasteland, Ro-Kyu-Bu ~ Fast Break!, Pastel Memories) and is directed by Kazuya Iwata (episode director for Your Lie in April, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, and Etotama).
The series stars Rina Hidaka (Alice or Alice, Armed Girl’s Machiavellism, Konnichiwa Anne: Before Green Gables) as Najimu Mujina, Hisako Kanemoto (BanG Dream! 2nd Season, Squid Girl, Kokoro Connect) as Mayu Warito and Sumire Uesaka (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, BanG Dream! 3rd Season, Senryu Girl) as Yuki Karuizawa. Sentai have not announced any plans to offer an English dub at this stage.
About Cute Executive Officer
