Justin Walshe will take a Gears of War: E-Day themed Nitro Funny Car to Sydney Dragway for the Haltech East Coast Nationals on 26 and 27 September, marking the new livery’s competitive debut. Xbox has collaborated with Rocket Industries on the custom design ahead of the game’s global launch beginning 6 October 2026. The car will also appear at Adelaide’s Spry Spring Nationals at The Bend from 22 to 25 October.
The car itself produces more than 11,000 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 500 km/h in under four seconds, providing a motorsport setting for the campaign. Rocket Industries CEO Morice McMillin spoke about bringing the gaming franchise to the drag strip and what the collaboration means for the company.
