Pitched as a surreal, genre-defying suspense game, CONCIERGE from Brazilian developer duo KODINO Artes and publisher Digital Tribe Games is set to launch on Steam on 17 September 2025.
CONCIERGE will see players step into an uncanny hotel where six distinct realities exist, each with its own tone, rules, and sense of madness. Armed with little more than a failing camcorder and a fractured sense of identity, they will navigate broken timelines, elusive guests, and puzzles that refuse easy categorisation. Some inhabitants speak only in riddles, while others remain silent, leaving the player to interpret meaning from the surreal atmosphere.
Blending elements of analog horror, experimental design, and melancholic surrealism, CONCIERGE draws inspiration from titles such as Who’s Lila?, Yume Nikki, and Iron Lung. Its six self-contained worlds each reinvent the rules of interaction, encouraging players to relearn how to think and play.
The Parasonik Camcorder mechanic serves as both a storytelling and puzzle-solving device, revealing hidden details wherever it is aimed. Progression is also nonlinear, with multiple possible routes and outcomes, and much of the content entirely optional. Each room functions as a self-contained act within the broader performance, layered with symbols and contradictions, and there are no tutorials – the game rewards players who trust their instincts and remain curious.
Alongside the announcement, Yan Boente, co-creator at KODINO Artes shared:
We wanted to make Concierge truly unpredictable and mysterious in a fundamental sense — not something for people who know exactly what they want in a game. How surprising can a game be if you know, before you even buy it, what the structure of the story is, how you interact with the mechanics, how everything works? We want players to walk a blurred line between anxiety and curiosity, and to explore this abstract, disorienting world out of a sense of intrigue, not obligation.
