Brining players back to where the Dead Rising series began, Capcom has today officially launched the remaster of their 2006 zombie action game Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Available digitally on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, the remaster brings the chaos of Willamette Parkview Mall to life in4K resolution at 60 FPS, powered by Capcom’s RE ENGINE – assumably a noticeable difference to the game’s original Xbox 360 release many console generations ago..
In Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, players take control of freelance photojournalist Frank West as he battles through hordes of zombies while uncovering the mystery behind the outbreak.
The remaster offers a host of new features, including enhanced graphics, updated character models, expanded language support, and quality-of-life improvements such as the ability to move while aiming and an auto-save function. This update also features photo mode enhancements, allowing players to apply filters such as Black and White, Sepia, Vintage, and Pixel Art to their in-game photos.
The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Digital Deluxe Edition offers 17 Frank West costumes and 17 background music tracks, adding more variety to the zombie-slaying adventure. While digital copies are available now, physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will hit shelves on 8 November 2024.
