After debuting on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC as one of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s first releases of 2023, One Piece Odyssey has now been released for the Nintendo Switch as a Deluxe Edition, including the “Reunion of Memories” additional scenario.
In One Piece Odyssey, a sudden tempest throws Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew off course on the Grand Line, leaving them stranded on the mysterious island of Waford. Separated from his crew, Luffy embarks on a thrilling adventure to navigate Waford, reunite with his friends, and escape the island. Players will face dangerous new enemies, terrifying natural forces, and explore the “World of Memory” of the Straw Hat Crew.
The game allows players to control each member of the Straw Hat Crew, utilising their unique skills for exploration and engaging in turn-based combat with features such as the Scramble Area Battle and Dramatic Scene systems. The Scramble Area Battle system enables players to move through multiple battle areas, strategising to exploit enemy weaknesses. The Dramatic Scene system recreates memorable One Piece moments, challenging players to rescue crew members in trouble and earn increased experience.
The Deluxe Edition includes additional character outfits, such as the Traveling outfits for the Straw Hat Crew and the Sniper-King’s Traveling Outfit. Additionally, the Nintendo Switch version features exclusive City of Water outfits.
