[18+] Jast USA Bringing Remastered 90s Eroge Visual Novel ‘Heart de Roommate’ to Western Audiences

One of the earliest releases from visual novel localiser/publisher Jast USA, the 90s eroge visual novel Heart de Roommate by Angel Smile is receiving a remaster, and will be available on modern platforms starting 30 September 2022.

According to Jast USA, this release will feature “updated graphics”, an improved user interface, and has been updated and optimised for Windows, Mac and PC platforms. But perhaps more importantly, it is an excuse for visual novel fans to once again experience the adventures… or rather… misadventures of the pitifully unlucky Yusuke and his new roommates.

Heart de Roommate Remastered will be available for purchase via the Jast USA online store at a standard price of $9.99 USD, with a 15% pre-order discount bringing the price down a dollar and a half to $8.49 USD.

The Story of Heart de Roommate

Yusuke’s luck is runs dry when he transfers to a brand new school. Thanks to his rotten luck, and a series of unfortunate events, he’s left on the streets with nowhere to live.

Just when he’s given up all hope, he runs into Asumi, and old friend who claims she owes him a debt she still has to pay back. Upon hearing of his struggle, she begrudgingly invites him to live in her dorm, with her two roommates. The problem? It’s a strictly girls-only dorm!

And so, naturally, Yusuke has to dress as a girl on his way to and from class every day. And since here’s lodging there for free, he’s forced to do all of the housework, and sleep in the closet. It seems our hero just can’t catch a break, and to top it off, his feelings towards his new roommates begin to shift into something significantly less platonic…
