Following the surprise release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on PC and other consoles last year, Bethesda Game Studios has now brought the updated RPG to Nintendo Switch 2. This port is available both physically at retail and digitally through the Nintendo eShop. The physical edition is supplied on a game cart containing the complete base game.
Developed by Bethesda Game Studios in partnership with Virtuos, the remaster updates the game for modern platforms while retaining the original adventure through Cyrodiil. On Nintendo Switch 2, Oblivion Remastered supports DLSS and runs at 900p and 30fps while playing in handheld mode. When the console is docked, the game runs at 1080p and 30fps.
The Switch 2 release also makes use of several platform features, including motion controls, touch screen functionality, and left and right hand mouse modes. Players can once again explore Cyrodiil, follow its various stories, meet its cast of characters, join guilds, compete in the Arena and work towards becoming the Champion of Cyrodiil.
The package also includes the The Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine story expansions, allowing players to experience the additional content alongside the base game.
