Sega has officially launched a new crossover update for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, bringing a variety of themed content from the Super Monkey Ball franchise to the racing title. This update is available as a free content drop for all players who currently own the game.
The primary addition to the roster is AiAi, the protagonist of the Super Monkey Ball series, who is now available as a playable character. Alongside the character, players can also access a new vehicle known as the Banana Cruiser. To further integrate the crossover, the update includes themed sound effects and special emotes for use during races.
The in-game Jukebox has also been expanded with four musical tracks sourced from the Super Monkey Ball games. The new selections include:
- Race
- Menu Theme
- Jingle from Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble
- Banana Farm
Existing owners of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will receive the Super Monkey Ball content automatically. Sega has advised players to ensure their software is updated to the most recent version to facilitate the download and activation of the new character and items.
