NIS America Partners With Happinet To Publish Brigandine: Abyss Internationally

Nippon Ichi Software America (NIS America) has announced a publishing partnership with Happinet for Brigandine: Abyss, a new entry in the long-running strategy RPG franchise. The title is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.

While the game is part of a storied series, Brigandine: Abyss introduces a completely new world designed to be accessible to both long-time fans and newcomers. The narrative centres on the resurgence of the Abyssloa Empire, a force that was halted centuries ago by the power of the arcane Brigandine. Players are tasked with resisting this new imperial rise, with the option to experience the conflict through six distinct story campaigns.

The core gameplay is divided into two primary phases. During the Organization Phase, players manage their resources, rally monster units and arrange their troops. This is followed by the Attack Phase, which utilises the series’ signature hexagonal-grid-based tactical combat. Success on the battlefield requires careful consideration of character skills, elemental attributes and army development.

In addition to the main narrative, the game includes a Mission Mode intended for players seeking a more traditional experience. This mode features 24 different factions, each with unique victory conditions.
