SEGA has launched the SpongeBob SquarePants Pack for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, giving players the chance to race through Bikini Bottom behind the wheel of the Patty Wagon. The pack lets fans take on the track as both SpongeBob himself or his best friend Patrick Star, bringing the undersea setting into the series’ high speed arcade racing. Yes, if you have missed the news over the past few months, this is arguably the most unique of the currently announced crossover DLC for the racing game.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Pack includes SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star as playable characters, the Patty Wagon vehicle, a Bikini Bottom themed course, new music tracks inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants, and six different emotes for each character. The content can be accessed either as part of the Season Pass, which also grants additional characters, vehicles and courses, or purchased separately as a standalone pack.
Players who do not own the SpongeBob SquarePants Pack will still be able to race online against those who do, and can drive on the Bikini Bottom course alongside SpongeBob themed racers when paired with those who own the DLC.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.
