Team17 and Ghost Town Games have announced that Overcooked 2! will be making its way to Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct. A new trailer has been released (available to the left) showcasing the return of the series’ signature kitchen chaos.
The Switch 2 edition includes several platform exclusive enhancements compared to the original Switch release. These range from upgraded graphics on par with the PC version, to 4K resolution and 60FPS performance when docked. New functionality such as Camera Play and Game Share will also be available, along with the introduction of a new playable chef – the Platinum Platypus.
Players on Switch 2 will still be able to enjoy cross play with those on the original Nintendo Switch, while any previously purchased DLC remains compatible. Save progression can also be transferred freely between platforms.
For pricing, existing owners can upgrade to the new version for £7.99 / €9.99 / $9.99. New players can pick up the full Switch 2 release of Overcooked 2! for £24.99 / €29.99 / $29.99.
