After taking players to Horizon Festival’s situated in Great Britain, Mexico, France, Australia and the United States – Playground Games has confirmed that the sixth instalment in their open-world racing game series, Forza Horizon 6, will see players taken to the streets of Japan. The next open world entry promises a scenic and culturally authentic take on the country as players chase Legend status at the Horizon Festival.
The studio has provided a 2026 release on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with availability included at launch for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios also state they are working to bring Forza Horizon 6 to PlayStation 5 after the initial launch window.
Early materials position the setting as a star attraction, inviting players to explore diverse landscapes while pursuing the usual (and perhaps new) festival events and seasonal goals. Further details on cars, map regions and event types are to follow as the game edges closer to release.
