Microsoft Flight Simulator has unveiled World Update 20: Japan, a free content drop that expands the sim with 23 new photogrammetry areas across more than 20,000 square kilometres. Available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, and Steam, the update enhances major regions and introduces additional handcrafted locations.
The refreshed scenery covers key Japanese cities including Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka, Sapporo, and Tokyo. Five highly detailed handcrafted airports are included, alongside 67 new points of interest such as Osaka Castle and Fukuoka Tower.
Complementing the update is a new Local Legend aircraft, the NAMC YS-11 from Nihon Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation. The twin turboprop is available now via the in-sim marketplace for $19.99 USD or local equivalent.
