Gamepia, in collaboration with KRAFTON, has announced that pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch physical edition of Dinkum will open on 26 September 2025, ahead of its scheduled retail launch on 30 January 2026. Developed by Australian solo creator James Bendon, Dinkum brings the Outback-inspired life simulation to cartridge for those who prefer a boxed release.
The Switch physical edition includes an exclusive bonus, the Battlegrounds Costume Set. These wearable in-game items are delivered to the player’s in-game mailbox after spending one in-game night. The four pieces arrive via four separate letters, form a complete set when equipped and are granted a single time per save. Do note that these items cannot be recovered if lost or sold and have no in-game sale value.
Dinkum blends survival and slice-of-life play, giving players a broad set of activities to develop both their character and their town. Farming, hunting, mining, fishing and foraging are central to gathering resources, while crafting tools and furniture and modifying terrain allow for tailored settlement design. Selling produce and materials grows the township, drawing in new shops and residents, with seasonal weather, explorable islands and wildlife encounters rounding out the day-to-day loop.
Pre-orders will run through select local retailers from 26 September 2025 until 29 January 2026, with the official physical release slated for 30 January 2026.
