Capcom opened Tokyo Game Show 2025 with a digital program highlighting trailers and updates across multiple franchises, including Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Pragmata, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, a new Monster Hunter Wilds title update, Street Fighter 6’s next fighter, and features for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Capcom premiered a new story trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, setting up Miyamoto Musashi’s arrival in Kyoto and a brutal ambush by the demonic Genma. Left for dead, Musashi is “gifted” an Oni Gauntlet that lets him stand against the underworld, even as he seeks to sever his link to the artifact and carve his own path.
The footage introduced historical figures reimagined for the narrative, including Izumo no Okuni, famed for her Kabuki dance, and the venerable swordsman Ono no Takamura. Guided by the voice of the mysterious Oni woman within the gauntlet, Musashi faces street battles in Kyoto, clashing with foes such as Togemaru, a serpentine Genma that spins into targets with frightening speed. Although reluctant, Musashi must draw on the gauntlet’s power to survive.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is slated for 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Pragmata
A fresh gameplay trailer for Pragmata highlighted strategic combat layered with new weapons, upgrades, and Hack Nodes. From the Shelter hub, players can print and enhance gear such as the Charge Piercer and Decoy Generator, widening tactical options when dealing with rampaging bots.
Diana’s new Multi-Hack consumable can open the armor of multiple enemies at once, turning the tide of battle when used wisely. Outside combat, Hugh and Diana explore a lunar station and travel via Tram from the Shelter to previously unlocked Escape Hatches, which also serve as checkpoints.
Pragmata is planned for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Director Kenji Oguro shared a deeper look at Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, launching 13 March 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The story unfolds amid an environmental phenomenon that inflames tensions between the kingdoms of Azuria and Vermeil.
Players, acting as Rangers investigating the mysterious Egg Quartz that appears with the Crystal Encroachment, will encounter monsters such as Chatacabra and Rey Dau while protecting endangered species and helping restore damaged ecosystems. Exploration opens up with Riding Actions that let you climb and fly on Monsties, and those actions extend into combat. New strategic layers include party-wide Synchro Rush attacks that unleash massive damage when set up correctly.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection
Capcom celebrated 20 years of the Mega Man Star Force series with the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, uniting seven mainline entries in one package for a 2026 release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
The collection includes Mega Man Star Force Pegasus, Leo, Dragon, Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker x Ninja, Zerker x Saurian, and Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace and Red Joker. Modern features cover online play, visual filters, an art gallery and music player, new difficulty and assist settings, plus a set of Battle Cards that incorporates items previously limited to events or toys.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3 arrives 29 September, bringing a Final Fantasy XIV Online collaboration. Hunters team up with visitors from Eorzea to take on Omega Planetes, a dimension-hopping boss encounter that features mechanics inspired by the MMO.
Two themed jobs join the event. Dark Knight arrives through the Bale Armor α and the Shadowbringer Great Sword, along with the “Soul of the Dark Knight” series skill that unlocks The Blackest Night. Pictomancer gameplay becomes available via the “Soul of the Pictomancer” item, enabling spells such as Pom Motif. Expect new Palico and Seikret gear, and cosmetic rewards including a pendant and gesture.
The update also adds Arch-tempered Nu Udra as a permanent Event Quest with exclusive crafting materials. Additional content includes quests that award rarity 8 Artian materials, a limited-time Seregios Challenge Quest, an Arch-tempered Nu Udra Free Challenge Quest, four nostalgic gestures as free DLC, and Cosmetic DLC Pack 3 with other paid add-ons. Looking ahead, the Festival of Accord: Dreamspell seasonal event lands in fall, and Title Update 4 will introduce Gogmazios in December.
Street Fighter 6: C. Viper and Anniversary Events
C. Viper joins the Street Fighter 6 roster on 15 October. First introduced in Street Fighter IV, she now operates as research director for SiRN. Viper will be available via the Year 3 Character Pass, Year 3 Ultimate Pass, or as an individual purchase with Fighter Coins. Two outfits are included at launch. Outfit 1 reflects her new role, while Outfit 2 nods to her classic style and can be acquired with Fighter Coins or by maxing her bond in World Tour.
Also on 15 October, Street Fighter 6 will commemorate the 30th anniversary of visual novel Banshee’s Last Cry with a free World Tour episode, themed Battle Hub decorations, and login items. Zangief’s mecha-inspired Outfit 4 arrives the same day. Capcom is collaborating with metal band Cavalera Conspiracy on an original track tied to the outfit, with more details to come. The game is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a limited-time digital sale active.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy Update
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy receives a significant patch on 19 November. The update adds Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese language options, widening accessibility for new audiences.
Quality-of-life improvements include an episode select feature, gallery mode, auto-play, and an improved testimony phase UI. The trilogy is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
