inZOI’s First DLC ‘Island Getaway’ Launches August 20 Alongside Mac Version Release

KRAFTON has locked in a release date for Island Getaway, the first downloadable content for its still-in-early-access life simulation game inZOI, will launch globally on August 20 as a free update. The release coincides with the start of gamescom 2025 and will also mark the debut of inZOI on Mac via the App Store and Steam.

The DLC introduces Cahaya, a Southeast Asia–inspired tropical destination featuring both a main island and a resort island. Players will be able to explore its beaches, swim, snorkel, take boat trips, and customise their Zois with new tropical-themed outfits, hairstyles, and decor.

Alongside the new map, Island Getaway adds lifestyle activities across all maps, including farming, mining, gem crafting, and fishing, plus rideable vehicles such as motorcycles and electric scooters. Enhanced interaction systems like random gatherings, thought bubbles, and cooperative actions aim to create more dynamic and emergent stories between Zois.

The update also delivers UI and UX improvements, early gamepad support in testing, and over 90 new music tracks to expand the game’s soundtrack.

Launching the same day, inZOI for Mac is optimised for Apple silicon, with support for Metal, MetalFX Upscaling, HDR, and hardware-accelerated ray tracing on M3 and M4 chips. The Mac version requires an Apple silicon system with an M2 chip or later and at least 16GB of unified memory.

Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim, CEO of inZOI Studio and Director of inZOI – shared the following alongside this announcement:

Cahaya was shaped by feedback from our players, going all the way back to Early Access launch earlier this year. This DLC reflects a vision we’ve built together with our community. Developing a game in a new genre has been a real challenge, but the support we’ve received means everything to us — and we’re just getting started.
