Skybound Games and 11 bit studios have set a 18 September 2025 launch date for Frostpunk 2 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Frostpunk 2 is a sequel to the society-survival strategy game Frostpunk (released in 2018), which first arrived on the PC via Steam in 2024 – followed by a “Best Sim/Strategy Game” win at The Game Awards for that year. The upcoming console version seeks to pivot across to consoles with a few quality of life improvements, such as a redesigned circular interface intended to make city management and political decisions more intuitive on a controller.
Pre-orders are now open for a physical Icebreaker Edition, which includes the game on disc, a pop-up diorama of New London, the digital novella Warm Flesh, and a behind-the-scenes digital artbook.
