Disney’s stage adaptation of Beauty and the Beast has arrived in Perth for its inaugural performances in the state at the Crown Theatre, staging its first performance on Thursday 24 July. The production arrives in Western Australia after an extensive season which has seen the musical tour to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide prior – with Perth serving as the final chance to see the musical on Australian soil before it heads to the Sands Theatre in Singapore from December 2025.
Leading the cast is Perth-born Shubshri Kandiah as Belle, joined by Brendan Xavier as the Beast. The principal ensemble also features Rohan Browne (Lumiere), Gareth Jacobs (Cogsworth), Jayde Westaby (Mrs Potts), Jackson Head (Gaston), Adam Di Martino (Le Fou), Rodney Dobson (Maurice), Hayley Martin (Babette) and Alana Tranter (Madame). It should be commended that whether you saw Beauty and the Beast the Musical in its first preview in Sydney or on opening in Perth, sickness or injury pending, you will have enjoyed the same principal cast.
As part of the Perth engagement, the company will present a relaxed performance on Sunday 21 September at 1:30 pm. Delivered in partnership with Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia) and Autism WA, this session is designed to create a welcoming environment for patrons with sensory sensitivities and their families.
Tickets for the Perth season of Beauty and the Beast the Musical are on sale now.
