SEGA HARDlight has expanded Sonic Dream Team with a new content update, now available across Apple Arcade-enabled devices, adding additional cosmetic options for every playable character and opening a Shadow-exclusive stage within the increasingly corrupted Ego City.
Players can spend accumulated Challenge XP on a new reward track to unlock the character skins, allowing the full roster to venture through the dreamscapes in alternate attire. Shadow takes centre stage in the newly introduced level, where he alone must confront the spread of Nightmares overtaking Ego City and neutralise their source.
Completionists will find additional reasons to revisit earlier worlds: several new statues reflecting the latest costumes have been scattered throughout the Dream, and the in-game jukebox has been stocked with extra music. New selections include tracks from Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Frontiers, and the forthcoming Sonic x Shadow Generations.
Minor quality-of-life fixes accompany the headline features. SEGA HARDlight has claimed that they are now offering cleaner menu navigation and a resolved iCloud sync issue that had prevented some save files from updating correctly.
The update is live today and can be downloaded on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro through Apple Arcade.
