Kuro Games has announced that Wuthering Waves Version 2.2, titled Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower, will be available from 27 March 2025, introducing a major content update and an official MacOS launch. Alongside these announcements, the developer confirmed that Wuthering Waves is also coming to Steam, with a wishlist page now live.
Revealed during an official livestream, Version 2.2 offers a substantial expansion to the game’s world, story, and systems. Headlining the update is a new main quest, The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier, and a new companion story titled A Fleeting Night’s Dream. Players will also gain access to two new regions: Avinoleum and Beohr Waters – each packed with new echoes, challenges, and exploration content.
A selection of new Echoes, including Phantom: Capitaneus, and Sonata Effects such as Gusts of Welkin, further build on the game’s strategic combat and customisation depth. Meanwhile, new Resonators including five-star Cantarella and Aero-element Rover offer additional team-building opportunities. Combat enthusiasts can also take on a new Tactical Hologram challenge – Dragon of Dirge – while collectors and completionists have a slate of special events to dive into, ranging from exploration and platforming to co-op challenges and commission-style content.
For players on PC, the game’s launcher now supports incremental updates to reduce download sizes. Other optimisations include expanded colour settings, quality-of-life improvements to the item supply system, story review features, unlockable titles, and increased deployment limits for exploration tools like Waypoints and Casket Sonars.
