Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete App Launches in December, Extending Adventures Beyond 2024

Nintendo has announced Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, an app launching for smart devices on 2 December 2024, allowing fans to continue their campsite adventures beyond the original game’s shutdown. With the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp app scheduled to end service on 28 November 2024, the new Complete version offers a one-time purchase option for $9.99 USD (introductory price valid until 30 January 2025, when it will increase to $19.99 USD). This app brings the core experience of the original game to players without the need for continuous online connection or in-app purchases.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete enables players to transfer their existing game data by linking their save data with a Nintendo Account by 1 June 2025. Through this transfer, users retain access to items and content gathered since the game’s original launch in 2017. The app introduces new features, including “Camper Cards” — customizable cards that can be shared through QR codes, showcasing personal favourites like a preferred animal companion. Another exclusive feature is Whistle Pass, a new in-game location where friends can gather for social activities, including live in-game musical performances.

In addition to classic activities such as fishing, scavenger hunts, and garden events, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete aims to introduce monthly and seasonal events for campers to enjoy. Fans of the original game can continue to build and personalise their campsites with a wide range of items, while earning Leaf Tokens to acquire in-game items or expedite crafting.
