NIS America has announced that they plan to publish Nihon Falcom’s Ys X: Nordics internationally on the Nintendo Switch in 2024. Boasting an “exhilarating, fast-paced combat, a moving story of unlikely allies, and naval exploration across a vibrant high seas setting”, the action RPG is set to be available sometime in Fall 2024.
Ys X: Nordics follows the journey of Adol Christin, a young red-haired adventurer, and Karja Balta, a proud pirate. Their initial encounter at sea leads to their fates being bound together through the power of mana. As they seek to sever this bond, they become embroiled in a larger conflict involving two distinct groups: the sea warriors known as the Normans and the mysterious, seemingly immortal Griegr. To protect the inhabitants of Obelia Gulf, Adol and Karja must explore the strengths of their bond and the capabilities it bestows upon them.
