Marvelous Europe and developer Vile Monarch have recently announced that a demo of their new alchemy simulation game, The Last Alchemist, will be available for players during the Steam Next Fest, scheduled to run from 19th – 26th June 2023. The game, which seeks to combine elements of science and friendship, sets out to allow players to immerse themselves in the role of The Last Alchemist.
In The Last Alchemist players have the opportunity to construct their own workshop from scratch. Through solving puzzles, they can engage in the art of alchemy. As players traverse a world abundant in resources, they can gather items for their next creation, or interact with the Agari, a group of mysterious mushroom-like creatures.
The world of The Last Alchemist boasts vivid landscapes laden with unique plants, fungi, minerals, and secrets. Players can extract essences from the various items they collect, and by fusing them together, they can unlock specific properties essential for exploring the captivating world. Additionally, players can create their alchemical laboratory, optimizing production by forging alliances with the Agari, who will aid in finding a cure for the protagonist’s enigmatic ailment.
The full release of The Last Alchemist is set to go live on Windows PC via Steam later in 2023.
