XSEED Games (North America) and Marvelous Europe (EU / ANZ) along with their parent company Marvelous Inc have both confirmed that a new upcoming action RPG titled Silent Hope is on its way to soon be released, confirming a 3 October 2023 release date for both Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) platforms. Customers can soon preorder the physical standard edition of Silent Hope on Nintendo Switch via the Marvelous Europe website. The suggested retail price for the physical edition is €39.99/£34.99. Additionally, a digital version of the game will be available for the same price on the Nintendo eShop and Steam.
The storyline of Silent Hope unfolds in a world where the inhabitants have been stripped of their ability to speak. The game is set in a land that was once serene until its King seized the speech of the people and vanished into a vast chasm called The Abyss. The King’s daughter, the Princess, lamented over her father’s deeds, crying until she was encased in her own crystallized tears. Many years later, seven heroes are drawn to the entombed Princess and embark on a quest to free her. To achieve this, they must navigate the depths of The Abyss to find the missing King and bring him back, in an effort to restore the royal family.
Silent Hope takes inspiration from the classic isometric dungeon crawlers and infuses them with a contemporary twist. Players assume the roles of the seven heroes, each with distinct weapons, fighting techniques, and non-combat occupations. They journey into The Abyss, battling adversaries and gathering materials. Following their expeditions, the characters retreat to the Base Camp, where they engage in crafting, cooking, and preparing for future adventures. The Abyss offers randomized layouts, ensuring that each journey is unique and laden with an element of unpredictability. The depths of The Abyss hide increasingly challenging perils as players venture further.
