Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has revealed the release date for “Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1,” which is set to be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The collection is scheduled for release on 24 October 2023, with physical pre-orders available at a recommended retail price of $99.95.
The Master Collection comprises several iconic games from the Metal Gear Solid series, including Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Additionally, the collection comes with a substantial amount of bonus content. This includes the original Metal Gear title, a screenplay book with in-game text for each game, and a master book that provides details about the storylines and characters.
Among the bonus content, there are two digital graphic novels created by illustrator Ashley Wood. The first graphic novel, titled Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel is a fully voiced digital comic that recounts the events of the original Metal Gear Solid through animated panels. The second graphic novel, Metal Gear Solid 2: Digital Graphic Novel continues the narrative by focusing on the sequel’s events.
