Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince to Welcome in December 2023

Just in-time for the all-important holiday season, Square Enix has revealed that their next spin-off game in the Dragon Quest franchise – Dragon quest Monsters: The Dark Prince – will be launching worldwide on 1 December 2023 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

The Dark Prince, players are granted the ability to command and recruit a diverse range of monsters to accompany them on what shall hopefully be an enthralling new journey. The game is centred around the character Psaro, a demon prince under a curse that forbids him from inflicting harm on monsters. Consequently, he takes on the role of a Monster Wrangler, recruiting and fighting alongside various monsters in the enchanting world of Nadiria.

The game features the dynamic changing of seasons – Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall. This cyclic change not only alters the game’s landscape but also unveils new areas and introduces players to different monsters particular to each season.

Additionally, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince introduces a synthesis system, which is set to be one of the most potent tools available to players. Through this system, players can combine monsters in their collection to create entirely new creatures. This allows for experimentation and the potential to unlock over 500 monsters, including popular franchise characters, dark lords, and entirely new creatures. Moreover, players can assemble their ultimate team of formidable monsters and engage in online battles against other Monster Wranglers globally.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince will be available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch starting 1 December 2023.
