Following the game’s official release a little more than a month ago, developer and publisher HoYoverse has shared information on when the game’s first update, titled Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.1: Galactic Roaming, will go live. Only a couple more weeks await, with an official launch date locked in for 7 June 2023. This update sets out to continue the tale main scenario introduced in v1.0, alongside additional features such as more content in Herta Space Station, Jarilo-VI, and Xianzhou Luofu; three new playable characters and more.
The Version 1.1 update gives you more playable characters to add to your party, all three of which have already been introduced in the game’s story:
Silver Wolf, a genius hacker within the Stellaron Hunters, effortlessly breaches defense systems. This Quantum-Type character follows the Path of Nihility and can apply various debuffs to enemies to enhance her allies’ combat effectiveness. Beyond combat, her Technique proves useful as she can inflict damage and diminish enemy Toughness regardless of their Weakness. Her Ultimate ability enables Silver Wolf to deal significant damage to enemies and reduce their defense.
Another new recruit is Luocha who was introduced as a trial character in select Xianzhou Luofu missions. He is a wandering merchant known for his gentlemanly demeanor and his mysterious coffin. As an Imaginary-Type character on the Path of Abundance, Luocha, with his medical knowledge, is a master of healing. His unique Skill ensures “emergency healing” for allies in danger, without consuming Skill points. His Ultimate ability, “Death Wish”, removes one buff from all enemies while dealing Imaginary damage.
Completing the trio is Yukong, the Sky-Faring Helm Master. This leader, responsible for all flight-related matters at Xianzhou Luofu, assists companions with her skill set. Yukong’s days in combat may be over, but her battle instincts remain sharp.
The Version 1.1 update also offers new gameplay experiences. In the “Starhunt Game” event, Trailblazers assist Leonard, Herta Space Station’s network security engineer, in locating electronic graffiti hidden across the station. Participants can collect the graffiti designs as part of the reward. Another event, “Everwinter City Museum Ledger of Curiosities,” involves recovering lost exhibits and managing the city of Belobog’s History Museum.
Additionally, the update introduces a series of trials such as “Stellar Flare,” “Garden of Plenty,” and “Lab Assistants in Position”, which test players’ strategic thinking and combat techniques while offering rewarding prizes. Three new Companion Missions will further unfold the characters’ intriguing backstories. Functional features like friend chat and automatic enemy pinpointing are also incorporated, seeking to enhance the overall gaming experience.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.1: Galactic Roaming will be available on 7 June 2023 for PC, iOS and Android versions of the game. A PlayStation version is also in development, with more information to come in the future.
