An active player of Destruction Allstars for the PlayStation 5, or perhaps looking for a reason to boot the vehicular combat game up again? Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Lucid Games have confirmed that new content will be rolled out over the gaming months, as the game’s first season, titled ‘Hotshots’, goes live from today.
What can players look forward to from this update? The feature list includes:
- A brand-new AllStar, Alba, alongside her very own Story Mode is now available to players.
- AllStar Pass – a new way to earn cosmetic rewards in Destruction AllStars through online multiplayer.
- Photo Mode will be arriving on Wednesday, 19 May, offering players new ways to get up close and personal with the mayhem and destruction available in Season One Hotshots.
- A brand-new game mode called Blitz will be arriving on Wednesday, 2 June. This game mode will be all about team-based coordination, allowing four teams of three AllStars to face off in the arena in intense round-based car combat.
- New Story Modes will be released throughout Season One. Players will have the opportunity to learn more about Ratu, Boxtop and Angelo Avello, as well as their Rivals.
Destruction Allstars was released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive back in February 2021, and was available as part of the PlayStation Plus monthly free game collection during its launch period.
