Soon after the launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, separate from the monthly subscription fee, Square Enix has offered a range of optional in-game items for sale via their Mog Station online store. You will still need to go through the convoluted system to manage your subscription. However, purchasing such optional content such as costumes, level boost packs, and special dyes will be slightly less of a hassle from today, with the release of the new Final Fantasy XIV Online Store.
Accessible to everyone without needing to log into your account first, this site brings many improvements over the original setup including:
- A much better categorisation of each item, ensuring you don’t have to search through pages of irrelevant things to find the one you want. This includes splitting the items up by character gender and in-game event they were introduced in.
- An improved user interface in general, which is very clean and modern.
- Improved smartphone navigation.
Although the sale on Fantasia has concluded, you should consider using this new site as an opportunity to buy one and become a Lalafell, if you haven’t already!
