Have you had that wise moment of realisation that you want to become a Lalafell in Square Enix’s MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV)? It is a thought that many players are likely to have I am sure, after all, who can resist an adorable, pint-sized powerhouse that can run fast, jump several times their height and still hold their own against the beefier Elezen, Hrothgar or Roegadyn races? Nobody? Yes!
To become a Lalafell with a pre-existing character, you need to use a Fantasia. This premium in-game item essentially allows a player to craft their character from the ground up. This is very different to the in-game hairdressing system which is much more limited in how you can customise your character.
First of all, make sure you don’t already have one sitting in your retainer or inventory. Players get access to a single free Fantasia by completing the A Realm Reborn quest The Ultimate Weapon. Alternatively, if you don’t have one, purchasing one outside of a very rare promotional event will set you back some real-life cash. Fortunately, a few more days remain in a sale currently being run by Square Enix, which cuts the price of Fantasia by 30%.
Running until 30 June 2020, all sets of Fantasia phials are available at a consistent 30% off. A single phial will set you back $7.00 USD (rather than $10.00), three will cost $19.60 USD (rather than $28.00) and five will cost $31.50 USD (Rather than $45.00). These packages can be purchased via the Final Fantasy XIV MogStation.
